dream 4

me and friend in a field, with a farmer and his huge dog. had to stay there overnight. had a suitcase with all my stuff in it, open on the floor, the og kept coming and pulling socks from it, at first i managed to make it drop them and take an old one i threw to it but then kept coming back to it. the farmer decided to construct the fences in such a way to protect us at night. it was going to be like a sort of hexagon (huge hexagon) with segments, with him and the dog in one and us in an opposite one. the fences had a sort of mezzanine level you could walk about on, a sort of netting, bouncy level. we started jumping around, i was over at the far side near the road. i was really thirsty so the farmer offered me the very end of his drink in a polystyrene cup, was meant to be like coke but made from golden syrup. was warm and tasted like regurgitated spit, with that same consistency. think i went to get a real coke from a vendor that pulled up in a truck.

installation

preparing for an installation with lucy at off modern on the 29th

*************************
Memento Mori - Scene V
a collaboration between Daniel Swan and Lucy Stockton
Hovering somewhere between unused science fiction film-set and immersive walk-in installation, MEMENTO MORI allows visitors to partake in the hazy funeral ceremony of a human being that will not exist for fifty generations.
Taking cues from folk tradition, dreams, popular culture and films both real and imagined, a stark vision of a ceremony mutated yet preserved by time and events is presented using our primitive technology. Data projection, sculpture, light, fog and sound combine to produce the immersive and intoxicating environment of a distant future strongly influenced by its past, with dim fluorescents, distant clouds and potted plants reflecting in the elevated black coffin that presides over the scene.

dream 3

doing jackass stunt kinda show with some filipinos on a beach. was there all day. one guy kept doing all the stunts towards me, first with ninja wheels he threw which skimmed me and made my back bleed, him holding me down for other stuff. at one point him and some people blindfolded me and bundled me on a motorbike which sped down the beach. the big stunt he wanted to do was something with throwing knives. knew it was going to involve me and i was worried. at first he was just going to throw them as far as he could and i would film it (throw them towards me). but then he wanted to do a weird random release thing with the knives on some sort of spinning rotator, and also had a sort of frame which he wanted me and  his colleagues to put our heads in. said no. told him a good stunt to do would be to skydive and drop a target board too and throw the knives into it while falling. told him he would probably set a new world record too.
then there was some stuff where an old indian man was pulling a broken down lorry with ropes through a busy market street.
then it was my first day at a new class at school (had missed a lot of days due to the stunts). chris was there and karl. tutor was a lot like a filipino johnny depp willy wonka and was sat on a really tall pedestal desk thing. i said my name and went to sit down at the back w chris and karl, also anne was sat next to me. at one point had to rule a line with some huge floppy bits of wood-hessian i had left over from the stunt thing. let anne and chris borrow it, but chris and karl never seemed to quite understand me, like they were in a bubble. prospective students and their parents (i think that was who they were) came outside of the class watching the teacher as he played with his weird glasses which he pullled a tab and they grew or something. he sort of performed for them. (also there was another teacher waiting inside the door to speak to ours but he didnt answer him,i even thought he might be too embarrassed if another teacher saw his act but he seemed not at all). then some women came round with huge plates of food, eclairs, donuts, cakes. i wanted a profiterole. they almost gave me it but then took it away when they knew it was my first day and i hadnt had one before. i thought  that was really stupid and i was angry. then i was walking on a sunny pavement with cars on one side and a beautiful coast on another, towards a blue shining city

dream 2

went to visit some science place where there was a largeish donut-shaped glass tank thing in a big room with an open or glass roof. the glass thing was almost more like a snail's shell, with the walkway descending to an opening. a guy showed me how a strange pulley system could slow him down as he went down the ramp and enter the donut at a constant speed. then he showed me, or i saw through his eyes, how four large robotic arms attached to a glass suit could let him simulate weightlessness, and he floated around the tank with the robot arms acting out the inertia and stuff as he banked and rolled around. he mustve been taking video using the suit cos he then showed me the room in the middle which was a video edit room so you could watch it back w/o having to get out the suit, but it was actually a really tiny door you crawled half through and put your tape in a tv. people worked in there but for the most part ignored him/me.

space cadets

semi-forgotten fun and slightly brutal reality tv show from 2005 where people are tricked into thinking they're going to space:
